Alvernia's business programs examine the contemporary business world from both practical and ethical standpoints, through the eyes of a Franciscan. Opportunities are available for business majors to combine classroom learning with real world knowledge through Cooperative Education Internships. This broad-based approach prepares Alvernia business majors to succeed professionally by developing the supervisory and managerial skills necessary for career advancement. Alvernia offers students several different business paths, including accounting, human resource management, management, as well as marketing.
The purpose of the Healthcare Science program is to provide a rigorous curriculum which will prepare graduates for meaningful roles and careers in our current healthcare environment. Consistent with Alvernia University’s Franciscan values, students will become broadly educated, life-long learners who will engage with their communities.
The RN to BSN Program is designed for Registered Nurses who are graduates of diploma or associate degree nursing programs, or new graduates anticipating taking NCLEX-RN examination. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing is widely considered a standard requirement for RNs seeking broader professional responsibilities and career opportunities.
