Research and Interest
My research focused on aspects of the etiology of plant diseases whether being fungal, bacterial or viral plant diseases. I also studied the genetics of plant disease resistance, host pathogen interaction, sources and identification of disease resistance and developing easy and practical methods for screening crops for disease resistance. In addition, I investigated other methods of plant disease control. I also did some general and specific plant disease surveys to assess the impact of plant disease on crop losses and suggest quarantine methods to prevent the introduction of new plant diseases.
