All individuals teaching in the Behavioral Health Program are seasoned veterans of the professions they are assisting their students to enter. Some carry Doctorate Degrees, others are in pursuit of such a degree, while still others carry a Masters Degree and extensive work experience in the subjects they teach. Yet, their seasoning is not necessarily that of education, rather, it is the extensive experience that each of our faculty carries in the profession. They have not lost their cutting edge, and bring to the classroom the immediacy and practicality of their day-to-day professional experience. The Behavioral Health Program has a consistent core of professionals. We can be choosy who we select…and we are.
All of our adjunct faculty have presented at both state and national conferences. All of our faculty have taken their place on review committees, passing judgment on such areas as peer performance, grant applications, and outcome studies. Still others have worked to draft legislation establishing licensing and credentialing criteria to be used in quality assurance standards for the drug and alcohol field.
