In addition to academic accreditation, our full-time faculty have extensive experience in the criminal justice system and all of the part-time faculty are practicing professionals in the area that they teach—a major strength of the department.
Faculty professionals are federal, state, and local law enforcement, judges from the courts of common pleas, probation department supervisors, criminalists from forensic laboratories, forensic psychiatry, and attorneys with prosecutorial, administrative, and defense experience. These top level professionals are regionally and nationally recognized practitioners who are directly involved in day to day operations and decision making, allowing students to hear on-the-job realities as a balanced presentation with research required in the discipline.
