Not only among the best of all plays ever written, “King Lear” is part of that smaller class of greatest artworks of all time. The play raises issues of power, poverty, family, madness, politics, religion, business, gender, justice, identity, and, yes, even meteorology – just to name a few issues. I urge you and your students to take advantage of this opportunity this semester.
