Doctor of Physical Therapy Program Seeking New Core Faculty

The Alvernia University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program (DPT) is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position to begin January 2017. Physical Therapy Licensure in the Commonwealth of PA is required (or eligibility to apply and receive licensure by January 2, 2017). Candidates with a clinical doctoral degree (DPT) with specialization will be considered.  An academic doctoral degree (Ph.D., EdD, Dsc) is preferred. A demonstrated agenda of scholarly activity, academic teaching experience, and commitment to service is expected.

  • Candidates should also possess an understanding of research methodology.
  • Candidates must possess clinical expertise in one or more of the following areas: acute care, administration and management, women’s health, electrotherapy, musculoskeletal, and qualitative research methods.

The AU DPT Program achieved candidacy in 2014 and students enrolled in the Fall of 2015. The Program seeks accreditation and offers a curriculum that is learner-directed, professionally-based, service-oriented, and competency-driven.
