Undergraduate student employment opportunities:

Spring 2015:

  • Softball Scorekeeper and Stats

Looking for a local student to work mostly Mondays and Fridays starting in March and ending in late May to keep score at a local school's Varsity and Junior Varsity softball games.  Training will be provided but should have knowledge of softball.  Also, the job continues in the summer from June to August working 25 to 30 hours per week keeping score for a local athletic association's softball team and helping at practices.  If interested please complete an Application and email it to lisa.venkler@alvernia.eduMUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK STUDY

  • Student Technician

Looking for a student who has working knowledge of PC operations and willingness to learn skills for configuration. troubleshooting and repair of computers and peripherals.  Responsibilities include deploy and configure new computer systems and peripherals, install software on computers, troubleshooting, repair and refurbish computers, assist in the use of information technology, reserve equipment, setting up of equipment, replacing lamps and batteries in remotes and recharging batteries of returned equipment.  Student should be responsible and trustworthy with excellent oral and written skills.  Student must also be able to lift 50lbs.   If interested, please complete an Application and email it to

Summer 2015:

  • Clerical Assistant:

The Office of the Provost is looking for a student to assist with clerical and data entry tasks while verifying accuracy; reception duties; filing; processing incoming mail; keep storage filing area organized and clean; clean and organize work area for all three offices; adhere to the code of confidentiality; maintain timesheet; assist at academic events (example, Honors Convocation) and multiple projects that come from the academic division.  Other duties assigned by the Office of the Provost.  Student should have good communication skills and a a friendly professional manner; attention to detail; organized; dependable, and proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; self-starter; and can work independently. If interested please complete an Application and email it to  MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR FEDERAL WORK STUDY
