Two Types of Article Databases
Which article database to use depends upon your topic.

1. General Article Database

  •  Is your topic general or multidisciplinary?
  •  Currently in the news?

If so, start with EBSCO's multiple topics and disciplines database (Academic Search Premier), or JSTOR. Both databases cover a wide range of subjects. EBSCO indexes scholary journals, magazines and newspapers. JSTOR indexes journals. These databases are a good place to begin research.

LexisNexis News indexes regional, national and international news sources. It is a good place to find news articles.
