Lutz joins the Mets, who are at the tail end of a 7-game home stand, and will likely serve as a pinch-hitting infield reserve.  He was hitting .333 in Buffalo this season with five doubles, three home runs, and 10 RBIs.  He started his season with a bang hitting two home runs out of the stadium in the Bisons' home opener on April 11 vs. Scranton/Wilkes Barre.

The Mets have three games with the Marlins at home this week before heading west for 3-game series with the Rockies and the Astros.

Lutz joins former Alvernia teammate Anthony Recker in the bigs.  Recker has been the backup catcher for the Oakland A's since the start of the season and has a single and two walks in three games thus far.
