Alvernia University formally signed an agreement to offer Bachelor of Science degrees in behavioral health, healthcare administration, healthcare science and social work in the University Center @ Manor College, Jenkintown, Pa.

“We’re thrilled to welcome a quality educational institution like Alvernia to the University Center fold,” said Dr. Stephen Grieco, associate dean of Academic Affairs at Manor. “That we can offer four of their outstanding bachelor degrees to our offerings is a real benefit to our students and the community.

The University Center @ Manor College allows Manor students who have completed their associates degrees to continue their education toward advanced degrees from partner institutions while still on Manor’s Jenkintown campus.

“One additional benefit for students interested in these new degree offerings through our University Center is our easy and seamless one application process. Through this process, students enrolled at Manor College will have the ability to seamlessly transfer to the University Center @ Manor College program with Alvernia University without having to complete an additional application,” stated Grieco.

Alvernia’s Bachelor of Science in behavioral health prepares graduates to be impactful leaders in the fields of addiction studies, mental health and child welfare. The healthcare administration program prepares students to enter one of the fastest growing industries in the country and the healthcare science degree gets graduates ready for meaningful, big-picture roles and careers in the current healthcare environment. Students majoring in social work are prepared to work with diverse populations — particularly those at risk of social, economic, political and religious oppression.

Degrees earned from parnter institutions in the University Center @ Manor College are held to the same high standards as for students completing the same degree at the partner institution’s home campus.

“All of the degrees awarded will be the exact same degree that would be earned at the home campus,” Grieco explained. “The programs will feature the same faculty and curriculum students would experience at the partner institution’s home campus, but with the convenience, service and amenities offered by the University Center @ Manor College.”

“We are only partnering with top accredited international and nationally known universities and businesses,” Grieco said. “Those partner institutions have the opportunity to broaden their footprint while taking advantage of the built-in infrastructure and resources necessary for success at Manor.”

Manor College graduates and non-Manor students who have earned Associates degrees can enroll in University Center programs — designed for the busy adult learner with most programs only requiring one meeting a week. Each degree program can be completed in its entirety on the Manor College campus. Students can start at Manor and finish at Manor.
