Led by Director Wanda Copeland, Freshman Foundations provides its students specially designed advising, pre-orientation and fall FYS sections. Those FYS sections are linked in learning communities with designated sections of COM 100/101 and THE 105, and a spring semester service learning course focused on both academic and lifelong success, in which students serve alongside local community agencies (and fulfill part of their community service requirements).
Cross-Cultural Services include activities and events to celebrate the many cultures that comprise our university community and complement the cross-cultural understanding promoted in our academic programs. Director Copeland and the other faculty and staff members on our Diversity and Cross-Cultural Action Committee also serve as key resources for students of diverse backgrounds and cultures, as well as advocates for inclusiveness and opponents to discrimination and intolerance of all kinds. Stop in to meet Wanda and learn more.
