It's that time of year again! It is time for our current students to begin selecting housing for next fall 2017. We always try and make our housing selection as easy for our current students as possible. Students have a lot of options when it comes to selecting their housing assignment for fall. You will find a user-friendly guide to Housing Selection below.
In order to qualify to select, students must by Monday, April 3, 2017:
Complete an online housing application on ERezLife (Monday, February 27, 2017)

you should have your login information from last summer or spring
Ensure you have a housing deposit of $250 on record
you can either rollover this deposit from the previous year
pay a new deposit to the Office of Student Accounts
Registered for 12 or more credits for Fall 2017

To complete your online housing application, follow these steps:
Step 1:Go to the Logins page of the Alvernia website and click on the ERezLife page.
Step 2: Use the login information you created when you last logged into the system.
Step 3: Click on the 2015-2016 Housing Application apply now button.
Step 4: Complete all the top detailed information on the application.
Step 5: Check any speciality housing options you would like to apply for: (1) Academic Village, (2) Sophomores Serve, (3) Interfaith, and (4) Affinity Housing.
Step 6: Create a roommate group with the people you would like to live with (they should be the same class level as you).
Step 7: Electronically read the housing contract and electronically sign your application.
Housing Options for Current First Year Students:
You may choose to live in our themed community for sophomores: Sophomores Serve.
Sophomores Serve community is developed in partnership with the Holleran Center to provide students the opportunity to participate in service project sponsored for their community and engage more in the surrounding Reading community through service
Each Pod in Sophomores Serve will select a service partner from a menu of choices and a service leader to work with the Holleran Center and their CF to complete their service requirements
These communities will be housed in Village 4-Pods
When signing up, you can choose to sign up in groups of 12 or 11.
In order to sign up, you must complete the Sophomores Serve application which will be available on the Residence Life page on PAX (Monday, February 27, 2017).
Students who choose this option receive priority housing
you may go through housing selection and choose from available spaces in Village 4-Pods, Anthony Hall, and Judge Hall

Housing Options for Current Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors:
you may choose to live in our themed community for upper class students: the Academic Village.
The Academic Village is designed for Juniors and Seniors who are completing internships and fieldwork requirements. There are extended quiet hours and programming designed to help students transition out of college and some career preparation.
These communities will be housed in Village 3
In order to sign up, you must complete the Academic Village application on the Residence Life PAX Page (Monday, February 27, 2017). We will allow sign-ups until the building fills.
You must have at least a 3.0 GPA to qualify.
Students who choose this option receive priority housing
you may choose to create an affinity community
An affinity community is a themed community designed for you and your friends. You create the theme, choose an affinity leader, choose a community advisor, and apply for housing.
Applications will be available in the Office of Residence Life (Monday, February 27, 2017).
If approved, students will receive a housing and building assignment based on the number of students in the community and class level. They can then either accept or reject the offer.
You must have at least a 2.0 GPA to qualify.
Students who choose this option will receive priority housing in the Townhouses
