Residence Life

Residence Life Student Staff

Alvernia has 4 Senior Resident Assistants (SRAs) who work directly with the Resident Directors to provide leadership and oversight to the student staff in the residence halls. Senior Resident Assistants work office hours each week in the Office of Residence Life and provide mentorship to our staff members.

Alvernia has 29 additional Resident Assistants (RAs) who work to build community in the residence halls, assist as a resource to students on campus while helping students transition into on campus life, and ensure that campus is safe through nightly rounds of the residence halls.

Alvernia also has 9 Community Facilitators (CFs) that work with our Living Learning and Themed Residential Communities. These students serve as mentors for our students living on campus while planning programming for their assigned community around the theme of their community.

Finally, Residence Life has work study students who work out of our office doing administrative tasks and assisting in the day-to-day functioning of our office.

Resident Assistants and Community Facilitators work in one of three areas: (1) First Year Student Area, (2) Transitional Student Area, and (3) Upper Class Student Area.
