- Phi Alpha Honor Society

The purpose of Phi Alpha is to provide a closer bond among students of social work and promote humanitarian goals and ideals. Phi Alpha fosters high standards of education for social workers and invites into membership those who have attained excellence in scholarship and achievement in social work.
- Philosophy Club

The Philosophy Club offers a place for philosophical thinkers to engage in in depth conversations involving current events, ethical issues, on-campus topics, and so much more. The Philosophy Club is open to all who are willing to share their ideas and listen to those of others.
- Pi Theta Epsilon

PTE is a specialized honors society for occupational therapy students and alumni. The mission of Pi Theta Epsilon is to support the practice of occupational sciences and the practice of authentic occupational therapy by promoting research, leadership and scholarly activities by its members. In this way, the organization serves not only the profession, but helps to ensure quality healthcare services for the general public.
- Political Science Club

Come together to discuss topics that interest you the most, and how you can become the change. We go on trips to historical sites and landmarks, and we have a competitive Mock Trial team that competes against other universities and colleges. All are welcome despite any political beliefs. We provide a peaceful environment to coexist with one another. Don't be afraid or set back by the name or any stereotypes you might have conjured up, and come take a seat at the table! We also have a new Regional, completive Mock Trial team! All are welcome to be a part of this new force.
- Pre-Health Club

The Pre-Health Professions Club which includes, but is not limited to, Pre-Medical, Pre-Dental, Physician Assisting, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, nursing, and Pre-Veterianiary provides a setting in which students who are working toward future careers in the health professions can share information, network, learn more about the health professions in general, and have fun while developing friendships with students who share some of their interests. Members of this organization are composed of students pursuing study in several areas of science and related health fields.
- Psi Chi

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose shall be to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.
- Psychology Club

The Alvernia Psychology Club is open to students of all majors who have an interest in Psychology. The club aims to help students gain insight into current topics in psychology. The club promotes leadership and build strong bonds with the community through service opportunities, information sessions, and other exciting events. Past club activities included creating Rorschach inkblots, attending the Eastern Psychological Association (EPA), graduate and alumni psychology panels, and many more.
- Residence Hall Association

Residence Hall Association's goals are to advocate for all the students living in university housing to have the best residential experience possible and to help build a stronger residential community on campus through programming.
- Risk Management Association

Risk Management Association is an academic organization designed to improve student learning and understanding of the banking and finance world. It is open to all students and provides helpful information on internships, course packs and scholarships.
- Saudi Student Club

The Saudi Student Club is a multicultural student organization attends for serving Saudis students at Alvernia University and in the Reading area by providing support and help for education, living, and incorporation with the US culture. Our vision is to represent our culture in the best way to Alvernia and the USA. We are looking to introduce our history, beliefs, culture, and religion to different cultures through events, social relationships, and education.

Science Association acquaints students with the fun, service and professionalism the world of science has to offer. We want to inspire the minds of our members and of the community through social events, community service and involvement with our peers and Alvernia College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics staff members.
- Social Work Association

The Social Work Association, built upon the 6 Core Values of Social Work, including Service, Social Justice, Integrity, the Importance of Human Relationships, Dignity and Worth of the Individual, and Competence, brings students together through service, fundraising, and donation drives. Members connect with a variety of organizations and agencies in the community, as well as with Social Work students from other universities and colleges near and far. This association also branches to out to related human services such as occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, healthcare science, and education.
- Society for Human Resource Management

The Society for Human Resource Management acquaints students seeking careers in management, human resource management or labor relations with current issues and trends in these fields. Our Superior Merit-winning student chapter is recognized locally by the Berks County SHRM Chapter. Sponsorship affords our students networking opportunities with professional chapter members during monthly meetings. The professional chapter also helps to sponsor events such as our on-campus job fair. Student members have been participants in various community events such as Toys for Tots, Road Run, MADD fundraisers and the chapter's annual Animals Need Food, Too campaign.
