About Media Suite

The Alvernia University Media & Technology Suite is a state-of-the-art facility housing a multimedia computer lab equipped with 15 high-end iMac computers for aural, graphic, and video editing; a video recording green-screen room equipped with High Definition recording capabilities via Tricaster technologies, LED lightning; a sound production room equipped with keyboard synthesizer, microphones and a web camera for music & podcast production.

Paramount to the information age and global markets, the Alvernia University Media & Technology Suite provides a unique place where art, emergent media, and technology work together toward innovation and insight. In creating a place that fosters creative expression and entrepreneurial skills, Alvernia University is committed to engaging students, inspiring faculty and staff, and offering a number of collaborative initiatives with the surrounding community.

Media Equipment

Media Suite provides state of the art technology loan out services for multimedia related projects. Equipment is available to both faculty and students on a daily basis. Please read our Equipment Policy section for additional information.


Multimedia Studio

Media Suite is divided into three different sections, a state of the art computer lab, featuring fifteen 27" dual boot iMac computers, a video studio with a green screen technology and high definition video production equipment and a sound development and recording studio.

Media Suite offers high quality large poster printing services.

  • Goggle Works
A Brief History of the GoggleWorks: From Safety Products to Arts Center. Our Media Suite Team is working with the GoggleWorks family in order to present a documentary short explaining GogglesWorks’ industrial past that has led to their promising present and future as Reading’s Center for the Arts. This documentary footage is expected to be posted to GoggleWorks’ Web Site, as well as available in the Willson History Project display.
